Severely lacking in communication with parents/guardians, they rely solely on the usage of social media and voice mail to relay information. Schedules are not sent out, newsletters are not sent out, open house information is not sent out, not even school bus routes or bus numbers are sent out. If you want to know anything about the upcoming/current school year, you need to hunt on line to get the information. Even notification of upcoming teacher/parent conference availability is a recording calling your phone and leaving you a voice mail. If your child is struggling and not doing so well, they will not contact you to notify you at all. They rely solely on you coming to them for them to do anything to help you or your child, and even then they push for you to use social media for their "parent portal" to receive information and communicate with teachers. This school is severely lacking in people skills and actually reaching out to parents/guardians.

My views on this schools special education for 6th graders is not where it should be and Andrew Lewis is not holding up to its reputation in this area. Parents of children with special needs are swept under the rug and the children are not learning or being treated with dignity and respect. Also no correctional action is taken seriously when there are complaints in this department.
