Arkansas Virtual Academy is by far the most incredible school in the state!! My daughter began her educational journey here in 7th grade, and is about to graduate in a few days!!! The teachers and staff legitimately care about your child and their education! They challenge their students to do their very best every single day!! In the 6 years my daughter was in attendance she never had a bad teacher. They are all AMAZING !!!! They genuinely care about the success of your child, and will help every step of the way!! The curriculum is advanced and forces the student to use their brains. However, they also offer assistance if your child needs extra help and attention! In high school, they play a huge part in helping your child decide on a career path and have a ton of programs to help achieve their dreams! I would highly recommend this school! My daughter and I both love ARVA !!!

I love ARVA in so many ways but mostly for the teacher support my children receive. The online lessons are very thorough in the middle school/high school platform, so they don''t often need extra help, but when they do reach out to their teachers help is provided via email, teacher-created videos, and in live Class Connect sessions with their teachers. We never feel like we are doing this alone. Socialization has also not been an issue for us. For one, I provide social opportunities for my kids in our local community; they still see many of their friends that they met at our local public schools before we enrolled in ARVA. Also, ARVA provides social opportunities at in-person outings and through participation in online groups such as the National Junior Honor Society and the kids interact with one another during their weekly online sessions with teachers. Overall, ARVA has been a positive experience for our family in the past 3 years my children have been enrolled.

This was our first semester with ARVA. Overall it was a good experience. I had homeschooled in the past and this was much easier from a learning coach perspective. The interaction with teachers was good. I was very pleased with the homeroom teacher. He contacted us several times during the semester just to check-in. If there was an issue the teacher responded usually on the same day. The curriculum was good. My only suggestion would be more actual textbooks. We had several glitches with the software, especially in math. Thankfully we had a textbook for that class. It was also a very flexible schedule which is why we chose ARVA. Our student has health issues and ARVA WAS great.
