What school district is Belleville High School part of?
As a former student, I would most definitely not recommend this school. First of all, the majority of the students there have little to no discipline from the teachers, therefore allowed to say whatever they please. I heard many racist and homophobic comments being said directly in front of teachers. I felt very unsafe at this school due to that.
Secondly, this school seems to expect everyone to move at the same pace. Because I was a "smart kid", I was put into the more difficult classes, although I needed lots of help on writing essays and doing homework on time, which I did not receive in any way.
Some of the teachers go to public shaming if you don't complete homework on time. I was too worried about not completing my homework on time, that I did not finish it on time. I was terrified to go to school because of this.
This school seems to want to be better, but all of the ways they've tried aren't working.
Overall, I felt an outsider of this school, and I felt that I was behind everyone else because I did not receive any help.
