Great school. The parents that have criticized Big Sur Charter School are fraught with drama and lead terribly unhappy lives. My experience has been incredibly positive. Great teachers, support, instruction, and the students all get along and help each other. There is never any bullying which is a rare thing these days.

This school sounds great on their website, unfortunately, they do not deliver what they promise. They do not support their homeschool families. It is a fine choice if you have a special needs child and need a break a few mornings a week but do not expect your student to learn anything at the Monterey learning center. Children who are academically gifted are not supported here. There are much better charter schools in this area to choose from. There is a reason there is never a wait list at Big Sur Charter School.
