School Reviews

As a parent that has/had multiple students attend both the Elementary and Middle School at Cape Fear I wish I could say positive things but I can't. There was a time when both seemed like they care about student achievement but that must not matter any longer. The teachers used to take pride but most of those have either left for better or retired. It is too bad those in charge have replaced the good with some that shouldn't even be in the position, but considering the admin in charge it makes sense. The constant change has all but ruined the hard work from the past. Maybe find real people to take charge and hold staff to higher standards instead of the other. Those in charge don't want to listen to concerns as their egos get in the way. Other issues besides education like cleanliness, and access to positive athletics is laughable. The gym is disgusting; the seats are dirty, trash that's never been picked up is the norm here. If you have daughters involved in athletics good luck, there is no way one individual should be coaching more than 2 sports but to do boys and girls at the same time wow of course you can't say anything or your daughters suffer and this is from a starter's parent so. I realize we all can't send our kids to the east of the county but maybe the west side should find a way to improve what our kids have to suffer thru at places like Cape Fear but the excuses run deep here so we are stuck, no our children are stuck. Hope things change some day but not holding my breath.
