Chamblee Middle School is a diverse but balanced and inclusive community. The school building was built less than 15-years ago, so the facilities and classrooms are among the best in the county. The school is unique in that it serves both the magnet program for high achievers and the local middle school attendance zone. This unique program adds greatly to the diversity and the academic focus of it's the student body while attracting some of the best teachers from the area. Administrators are extremely responsive and take great pride in being associated with one of the flagship programs in the county school system. Parents actively support the school and participation is encouraged by the school administration. High - quality teachers are drawn to the school because of the high-achieving student body and teacher retention is very high. The school has limited acreage, so athletic facilities and green space are limited. However, the school is connected to the High School by a path that leads directly to athletic fields, which it shares with many of the Middle school's athletic programs.
