We've had a great experience with Collegium. We have 2 boys at there, our eldest has been there since kindergarten and is now a senior. He's been able to take lots of and honor classes, participate in a lot of school activities and is prepared to go to college. Our other son is in middle school and has an IEP. They spend a lot of time teaching the younger kid's emotional skills to help them succeed. The teachers are what make Collegium so great. A lot of caring people.

I attend CCS and the food here is bad no offense to the School but for real the broccoli is still frozen and in the classroom I am in has ants. The 500 building nurse is bad if you throw up she will only send you back to class and do nothing about it.

We have been beyond happy with Collegium. They have been the easiest when it comes to IEPs, meetings and communication. The education is beyond local public schools. They start Spanish in kindergarten and have many new technology lessons that are constantly being added in. They offer stem events, camps, and a variety of after school activities. My son loves his school and we have been very happy.

After a comprehensive pre-k program we were worried our daughter would be bored in the half day kindergarten offered by our home district. We were so fortunate to find Collegium - they have full day kindergarten with two recesses and two specials (music, art, steam, technology, library, gym, guidance and Spanish) that excites and challenge the kids. The school is very community minded and always has something going on for families.

Wonderful school! Far exceeds my expectations. We are in a Downingtown school district but I chose Collegium. Special education is excellent and they have accommodated all of my son''s needs. Staff is friendly and caring.

We have been very pleased with our children`s education. We particularly love the focus on technology, language and the arts and the overall cultural diversity. The slightly longer school day is perfect for working parents. I would like to see more sports programs.

We`ve only had experience with our daughter in high school and couldn`t be more proud of the huge strides she has taken since she started at CCS. She has come out of her shell and became more of a leader in a diverse school. The encouragement of the teachers to learn well is visible and reflected on her desire for good grades and success. Remember every school has its pros and cons but we have only found more pros and have no regrets sending her there.

My twin boys have attended colegium since Kindergarten. They are in 4th grade and love it. (Well, as much as 9 year old boys love school lol.) They start Spanish in K and in 4th grade have it 3x a week. With a TEACHER, not Rosetta stone. Class sizes are about same as local school but get smaller as you get older. A longer school day means they have art and music.

I grew up going to catholic school and didn''t want to send my kids to catholic or public. Charter school provides the discipline, structure and criteria that we were looking for our kids and it is working out great. The best thing about the school is the PEOPLE (teachers, aides, employees)....I really can''t say enough wonderful things about Collegium Charter, specifically the 468/486 buildings!

My child, now a 4th grader, has been at CCS since Kindergarten. He has an IEP, is excelling academically, and loving his school experience. As a whole, Collegium teachers are dedicated, nurturing and supportive. I sure hope this continues throughout middle school and beyond. As long as our child is happy there and doing well, we are planning on seeing him graduate from CCS!

Collegium Charter school offers an alternative for families living in the Coatesville School District. The curriculum is challenging and the teachers are committed to developing students to perform their best. Parents support the school, and teachers are held accountable to meet educational goals. As a former elementary educator, parent, and taxpayer, I am pleased that my child has this opportunity.

I don't understand the parent comment about spec. needs kids getting "pushed out." My child has an IEP and has been at Collegium for 9 years - they go above and beyond to be sure that his needs are met.
Beyond this, the school is great! Strong MS/HS curriculum that is preparing my child for college - high expectations of all kids.

Collegium offers little support to special needs children and their families. They do everything possible to push special needs children out. Administration hides behind their 鈥減olicies鈥. Their actions are disgraceful, even to the point of discriminatory.

My experience so far is only with the elementary school, but I could not be happier. The teachers we have had are exceptional and the curriculum, including Spanish, art and music, is far above what I am seeing in the surrounding districts. Parent involvement is one of the keys to Collegium's success. All in all, they truly have found a winning formula!

K thru 6 - They have fantastic, dedicated teachers and the curriculum is right on the mark. When you reach Middle and High school, there is a marked differance! That is all I will say.
