This school is a Melting Pot of children from all nationalities and backgrounds, which is great as it exemplifies real life. We were fornutate to get a new Principal (Mr. Huff) this year who has really done an excellent job for Elkins Pointe, in all areas. I would definitely recommend this school. It is a fairly new school and therefore the facilities are in good shape. The academic quality is very good, as well as the music (band & chorus have won awards), sports and extracurricular activities. I have 2 children, both a boy and a girl that went/go to this school. I was fortunate that my kids were in the TAG (Talented and Gifted) Programs both at Hembree Springs Middle School and at Elkins Pointe Middle School. They have honor roll breakfast and honor those who also achieved Principal's Honor Roll, as well. During the year, children can be nominated by their teachers for a special award in which the teacher recognizes the student's efforts, and it is not necessarily the top achievers, which is nice. Mr. Huff stresses the desire for parent involvement, however, you can be as involved as you would like depending upon your desires. Lastly, I would like to mention that my son received a scholarship to a private High School, and it was because of his grades and all activities, available through the school, that he was involved in. Again, there are so many different kinds of clubs for the melting pot of students, a real plus! GO TITANS!
