I would like to make a comment in case parents are wondering how concerned Enterprise Learning Academy is will its students. I have a five year who developed a fever of 103 at school . Enterprise's office staff made one phone call to my home and left a message at 12noon informing me that my child had a high fever. That would have been good if I was at home, I was at work! Which why i have a work number listed .Enterprise allowed my child to sit in the office from 12 noon until 3pm with a fever of 103 until they decided to try me again. When they contacted me they made it seem as if they were trying to reach me all day. When i arrived at the front office . The staff lied saying they left several messages on my cell phone. When i pulled my cell phone out and showed her that no one called my cell phone she changed the story saying that because my cell phone was long distance they had to follow a certain protocol in order to calllong distance! what protocol! This was an emergency situation and they didn't see the importance of calling the parent. Then i was told by the one of the staff members she had to go to lunch and assumed that someone else would have tried to reach me. NOt once did these people contact my emergency contact listed on the sheet ...that number was local! So my child sat at school with a 103 temperture. YOu can believe me his physician was not happy. Plus when he arrived at the doctor's office he had to get an injection because his fever was so high and his school waited to get him medical attention.I called and left a message for the principal to call me to voice my concerns and never received a return call. I contacted her secretary to find out if the principal received my message and she replied ,"Yes, it's in her To Do box". This incident happen on a Tuesday and it's Friday and still no reply. I am truly disappointed in ELA.NOw i know where the staff ethics derived from.
