School Reviews
5   6/30/2010
I am a graduated from Freedom in 2008; I was 18th in the class. I had a decently good high school experience and therefore recommend this school district. Good points: small school, great student:teacher ratio, great caring and availability from teachers, big push towards technology (we recently received a big grant from the capital that funded the purchase of hundreds of laptops for students), very low drug and alcohol usage among students. Bad points: VERY few AP classes available, difficulty with student involvement in activities (homecoming dance canceled my senior year because not enough tickets were bought). Parent involvement is high in the school board and school activities. We have teams for most of the major high school sports (football, men's and women's basketball, softball, baseball, swimming, volleyball, track, etc) but few of the more obscure sports. Track and field have won district honors several years in a row, although the football team has been lacking. The band program has been extremely successful, participating in many competitions and doing rather well in most. Overall, definitely a good high school to send your children to.
