Our kids are so happy at Gate City Charter School - their teachers continuously provide engaging lessons and art-based projects, and treat all their students as individuals. My kids are learning, growing, and moreover, love being at school. They are involved in clubs and activities, and one of their favorite things about GCCSA is the elective program that allows them to learn about academically based special interests. The staff has always been responsive and supportive when working with my family. We are so happy to be at GCCSA and excited to see our kiddos grow throughout the years!

Gate city is a fantastic school, each of my kids has some sort of learning disability and they have been nothing but helpful! The teachers are excellent and so is all the staff!

Administration is top notch. My child is included and supported. The staff is very well informed and works well together. A few early years the school had growing pains and had to address toxic parents & board members. Staff had a minimal turnover. The music and art instruction was our first interest but Our children have tested above average and have been able to get materials that challenge and fulfill learning. Pleased beyond words. Visit the school your children will thank you.

Beware, this school sounds great but the teachers are not all certified and they do not know how to properly handle bullies. If you question them, they will throw you out or do whatever necessary to force you to want to leave. They do nothing about the bullies because their parents either work there or volunteer. The teachers will forcibly touch the students to discipline them. The academics are way behind. They have zero coordinance when it comes to pick up. Students mix in with parents, anyone can leave with a child without showing ID, and it's a not house getting out without hitting anyone that's gathered around the cars. They will randomly request money from parents with no notice. Anywhere from $10-$100. Stay away from this school.

Do not send your children! Warning! Very poorly managed the children have more authority than the adults! Bullying is a huge issue that is ignored because that can''t lose any more students! Stay away

This school has very bad issues with bullying. Co founder and board are the problem . They have been taken all the way to the state board of education for there behaviors . People who have reported problems get thrown out not heard. Be careful call state ASAP if your child is bullied there.

Gate City Charter School for the Arts has provided my family the opportunity to attend a school of community, kindness, respect and academic challenges while studying the arts and not losing site of children`s imagination and creativity. We have been traveling 25 minutes (a lot of days longer with traffic) each morning to get to GCCSA for over a year now. I feel it is well worth the travel to come to a school that offers my children the ability to find and excel with their strengths and challenges them to overcome their weaknesses. This school provides an environment that allows teachers to teach to each student`s strengths and moves them academically to keep them engaged as opposed to standard testing and teaching to the lower middle and bottom of the class only. My children are happy to go to school each morning and see what adventure is in store for their classroom. They feel valued by the teachers and staff at GCCSA who are helping to shape them into amazing individuals.
