School Reviews

I read the first review, looks like a grad of Gateway alraight, thinking that high school starts at the 7th grade. I have taught in 5 school districts in FL. This was the end. I can not imagine a worse place for kids. No discipline at this school is enforced. I feel sorry for the community. This will be status quo I guess in Lee County soon. Most teachers here are retired and have decided to teach here in FL a few more years, like myself. It is little better than part time pay with poor benefits. The FCAT is a joke at this school, only 25% are required to take it. If I had to rate the school, I am sure fairly it is a D school. Students that transfer here from out of state quickly get dumbed down. You will see it in their test scores. They make you pay for paper for testing if you teach here for cutbacks. They do not let you leave anyone behind. They just keep them going out to pasture. The average graduate will have a hard time in life after this. Sorry, the truth needs to be said.

I have been attending Gateway Charter School/Gateway Charter High School since I was in 7th grade. I am now in 10th grade, and I feel that this school has been nothing more than a huge family to myself and to others. Not only do you achieve a good source of education, but there are also many friendly people and teacher's that strive to help you learn as much as possible.
