NOT A GOOD VALUE!! Lowest academic scores but highest taxes in the area! Rethink Granby if you are moving here for the schools. Academic standards have been consistently declining over the past years but taxes rising. The system is very inconsistent, and the curriculums change and are inconsistent. In this school system, the approach has become more of an assembly line, one-size-fits-all method. If your kid has special needs they excel here, if your kid doesn't have special needs they may try to convince you they do. If your kid does well in academics, they make almost no attempt to challenge them. The social atmosphere is lousy. If you are not wearing the right sports brand, not an athlete or do well academically, be prepared for taunts, teasing and bullying. The administration is inconsistent with dealing with this culture effectively. If your kid is bullied and stands up for themselves, they will be deemed at fault as well (blame the victim). We are looking to move.
