Hicks Canyon is a phenomenal school. The admin and teachers truly care about the students and their learning. We have been thrilled with our teachers all 4 years in attendance. The parents are very involved. PTO funds PE, music, art, computer programs (for kids to use at home and school to supplement learning.). Hicks students get quality teaching and well-rounded education.

Our family has been a part of the Hicks Canyon family since 2011. My son was there from 2011 until he graduated 4th grade in 2015 and my daughter is a second-grader, currently attending since 2016. We have had nothing but great experiences with both our kids! The teaching staff is awesome at Hicks. Both of them have had great and amazing teachers who have immensely helped shape their formative years. Even though Hicks is a public school, I have always felt like my kids got a private school education. It takes a village to raise kids and Hicks has definitely been a great source of support to us. We are truly grateful for Hicks Canyon Elementary School administration and staff, and proudly recommend it anyone who wants a top-notch education for their kids in a safe and secure environment.

We have both kids at this school last 6 years, and we truly enjoy our experience at Hicks. The teachers are very supportive and open to communicate when it comes to our kid's educational progress and needs. Art master is enjoyable for both parents and kids as parents get to learn how to draw and teach the class. The school dances are a very memorable family experience that we will cherish as our kids move on to upper grades. We appreciate the nurturing experience we got at Hicks.

Our family has been at Hicks Canyon since 2011 and we`ve had a great 5 years at this school. Our boys have made good friends and we`ve had great experiences with their teachers. Despite it being a big school, we`ve always felt like it was a tight knit community. The technology is up to date -- every classroom has a smart board and students have access to computer labs, iPads within the classrooms. They also offer a lot of educational programs that kids can do at home as well (Lexia, ST Math, Raz Kids, etc-) and they have a great library! I would highly recommend this school!

As a parent, I am so impressed with the academic rigor, positive social interactions, teachers and families at Hicks Canyon. The school definitely emphasizes a growth mindset. My kids come home and share story after story about the exciting things they are learning in school. Teachers know how to use students' critical thinking, creativity and communication skills to push their students to think out of the box. What a great place to be!

I've taught at this school since it opened and I think it's wonderful enough that I brought my own daughter here. The curriculum is challenging and the teachers are held accountable. The new principal is structured, yet fun, and has implemented a lot of great changes. The campus is secure and she is prompt and acts quickly on important issues. The students are delightful, hard working, and scholarly.
