School Reviews
5   4/14/2016
I would like to strongly refute the negative review here. I can't speak to what 'content' the reviewer is referencing, but I was extremely happy with the quality of the education at Hidden Oak. Both my kids went there, K-5. My son went on to all honors classes at Kanapaha, and my daughter successfully competed for a place in the Lyceum magnate program at Lincoln. The teachers were NEVER rude, and the environment was nothing that could be described as even close to chaotic. Ever. The staff there was dressed appropriately to teach in my opinion, but I did not expect them to dress like Amish schoolboys, or to wear suits from Brooks Brothers. The gifted teachers in particular were an absolute joy to have teach my kids; I could see their love of teaching in everything they did. There was no Crystal Lake "program", or " curriculum ", however, there was a 5th grade weekend at Camp Crystal, where my kids had a blast and asked to go back. I hope anyone reading these reviews will disregard the negative rant here, or at least talk to a Hidden Oak parent if you have any doubt. Our experience was fantastic and I feel very fortunate to have had my kids there. Highly recommended!

Content matters. I do not like the 'content' of the education that my children receive at this school. I do not like the Crystal Lake program, ( I suggest you research their curriculum). The teachers are rude, and dress very unprofessionally. The school is chaotic and the general atmosphere of the school is not good. I could go on, but I just want to say, that this school is not all that it's cracked up to be and we received a letter saying that a former teacher is being investigated on 'sexual predatory' related charges. He no longer works there, but that does not suprise me in the least.
