As a parent of an only child who joined our family 20 years into our marriage, we put a lot of consideration into where to enroll our gifted son. I say gifted as he started reading at 2 years old and writing at 4. He has a sense of recall like nobody I know. We wanted to find a home where he would continue to be challenged among his peers who were learning their alphabet. The faculty & staff of KIPP Poder immediately recognized how advanced our son is and assured us that every child is met where they are to engage them at a level where they will continue to be challenged, learn, and grow academically. But what really won us over was the social & emotional learning that KIPP facilitates for all of their students. These kids are respected as individuals with important voices. They are taught not just to share, but how to really care for one another with decency and the importance of giving back to our community. We looked at a lot of schools and no other program came close to the curriculum and support our son receives at KIPP Poder. He is thriving and we are so very thankful that we found this school.

KIPP Poder has been an amazing school for my son. The teachers are 100% committed to growing the kids, and we''ve seen so much growth in our son academically and social-emotionally in the 3 years he''s been enrolled. The parent-teacher communication is amazing and teachers and staff are so passionate about the children. The school hours are a little longer than the normal MUSD schedule and lots of homework, but this has proven to truly strengthen our sons core understanding of math, reading, and critical thinking. We love KIPP Poder!

My daughter attends Kinder, she entered with an IEP in the area if language. She was behind in the entire language but within her first months, she received help and was out of the program. I was in contact with the teachers, school staff, and the speech therapist in charge of her IEP during the entire process. I was happy I received enough feedback over Zoom to know that they were actually focusing on my daughter, not just taking her as any other student with special needs.

We enrolled our kindergartners in Kipp Poder this year and couldn't be happier. He is always excited to go to school, has friends in class, and Thea and administrators who genuinely care for the students. He seems to be learning a lot and growing as a person. We love this school!
