Would I recommend this school? Hmmm, a question that of course is completely dependent on your particular child. Submitting applications to other academic options is NOT a bad idea for Lanier Middle School falls terribly short in providing a comfortable, respectful environment that is developmentally appropriate for middle school aged children. You will find a few of the best teachers your child will ever come across but the reality is the majority are not. They are the teachers you cringe that your child may have. And they will have more than one. It saddens me that a school with such a strong past is hanging on to that reputation for it's glory when the present is a different story. It saddens me more that these extremely bright, sensitive, earnest children are belittled and intimidated when there is so much potential for amazing. Our children are a gift to you Lanier Middle School.
