I am a retired HS biology/chemistry teacher who decided after 12 years of retirement I wanted to sub in at MPES, my granddaughter''s school. This is a small school that definitely has the support of the community. It has teachers who work hard and truly care about the students they teach and the students they do not teach. EVERYONE, our principal, classroom teachers, support certified staff, teacher assistants, custodians, lunchroom staff, substitutes, tutors, bus drivers, maintenance workers, and anyone that I have missed, ALL work together daily to make sure that our kids get what they need to be successful, happy, and fulfilled. After spending 32 years in a high school science class, I can think of no better place to spend my Golden Years than with the kids and adults at Mt. Pleasant Elementary School!
