This school is not what it was. I am totally sorry for what it has become. I grew up on the west side of South Bend Indiana when I was proud to be there. My Father was a graduate of South Bend Washington as my Brother was. The rest of us attended South Bend Lasalle High School. I am very sad what teachers endure every day with both how the students have become and what is ALLOWED in the South Bend Schools. I have NO IDEA of what the school board is thinking as to letting these kids get away with their behavior in school. It is clear that this is a school that will surely be a turned over to the state because these kids do not want to learn or study and they have no parents at home who care and the school doe not support detention as thy should be as it used to be. What do these kids have to loose or gain or they run all over the teachers as I know they do. No recourse for their actions and its a darn shame. God Help this school as many others in the SB. The kids have nothing to gain or loose in their terms. The School board needs a face lift for sure. And lowering the grade point average for athletes.... Well won't even begin to say how stupid that was. What do these kids have to gain.. playing sports as to learning how to be a good intelligent productive adult. This is our new America and God help us all.
