Nottingham is one of the most attractive and modern schools in the area. It has a large group instruction room, two computer labs, separate gym and cafeteria, two playgrounds and a butterfly garden. Academic opportunities abound at Nottingham. Nottingham students enjoy the use of a 13,000 volume library. Nottingham features the nationally renown, challenging Everyday Math Program. In addition to a robust Academically Talented program, Nottingham has a comprehensive English As A Second Language and Title I programs. It has multiple computers with Internet access in each classroom. It has technology classes in a computer lab, and students use the Accelerated Reader and First in Math computer programs. One of the most exciting features of the school is Nottingham News. Nottingham boasts its own television studio and closed circuit TV. Students are the newscasters each morning. Besides national and school news, student productions are often featured and may include poems, songs, plays or science projects. Nottingham offers exciting extracurricular activities. Students have the opportunity to participate in intramural soccer and basketball. Fourth grade students may take instrumental music lessons and join the Nottingham Band or Orff Ensemble.
