Oak Glen High is a great school with a rich tradition of having quality students and excellent teachers. The last few years have seen turnover in the teaching staff, but the quality students continue. The atmosphere at the school is relaxed and education minded. The only criticism I have of the school is the lack of push for quality coaches in the school system. The county has continued to just hire a living organism to coach football, basketball, baseball, etc. They have had excellent people coaching, but they continue to lose these people because the central office doesn't care enough about athletics going hand in hand with education. I saw the school in 2004 become the only school in the state to have two Number one ranked teams of the same gender at the same time of the year. This is unheard of, but we lose our quality coaches and don't attempt to hire quality people to replace them.
