School Reviews

This school has a great academic program. It offers several opportunities such as automotive classes to be able to learn early skills for the future of the working citizen, as well as a great music program. The tagtache teachers are wonderful. However, the sports programs are very competitive. If you try out for a sport that you have a passion for but need to learn more to get better, good luck making a team. You come in as a freshman, new to the area, and try out for the team and get cut a few days later. Not just freshman year, sophomore year as well. And then the coach tells you you'll have the skills in a couple more years. So much for enjoying sports. But at least I was able to start a career.

OHHS just completed a massive remodel and expansion of the school building and it looks great! My son is have a GREAT time at this school and has far more learning opportunities here than at any other high school in the area. The program options include a long list of Advanced Placement Classes to CTE classes in which my son is earning college credit is the school (15 credits this year alone for FREE). Strong sports, music, and award-winning clubs and activities round out this school. If you have the chance to have your child in OHHS, go for it! You'll be glad you did - I sure am!
