School Reviews麻豆果冻传媒>5 6/3/2022I am a product of Oak Ridge Schools. I attended Woodland Elementary from the 3rd grade, Jefferson Middle, and graduated from Oak Ridge High School. When I graduated, I was ranked as a sophomore in college and graduated from college with a 3.56 GPA. Oak Ridge is unlike any other school system. I lived in Memphis, Tennessee for 14 years. Kids in Memphis do not get off-campus lunch, do not have an orchestra, do not have foreign language options, tech track, etc. Growing up and graduating from Oak Ridge was a privilege. Compared to other school systems, you all get more resources than a lot of communities. Your school system is what you make it. Yes, you will have a lot of homework, and yes the teachers may act superior. But, how many educators are required to have Masters's degrees? In my current city, any old Bachelor's degree will do and so will 40 kids in a classroom. This city will graduate a kid who is workforce ready from the day they leave the school system. How do I know? I graduated with a Wild Cat, and everything I learned, I learned there. Y'all have a lot going for you, so make use of it! If you go to other parts of Tennessee, realize taking home a textbook isn't something some people can do. Access to STEM is something Memphis doesn't have. Education is a privilege, and I got more than I deserved from Oak Ridge City Schools.4 7/24/2020All of my children attended Oak Ridge schools. Now my grandchildren attend.Oak Ridge has great schools.During the ups and downs of life the staff at all the schools were very helpful. If the kids in your life attend Oak Ridge schools they will get a quality education IF they apply themselves and YOU as a parent do your part.2 12/27/2018This school is good if your child is talented and focused on a STEM career. If not, no good for your child. The teachers are arrogant. There is way too much homework - more than any other area school. All in the name of "being the best" regardless of how stressed the kids are. If your child is artistic or musical - forget it. Or if your child is on a 504 or IEP or needs extra help - forget it. They have put themselves in an itty bitty corner for one small group of kids because of the Manhattan Project legacy. This should be labeled as a specialty school.5 5/25/2009An all-around quality school. Excellent teachers, kind people, plenty of opportunities in music/art, excellent sports coaches, and off-campus lunch for upperclassmen. Oak Ridge prepares its students for collegiate courses extremely well and presents a great learning environment for students.Review Oak Ridge High School. Reviews should be a few sentences in length.
