We transferred to Olsen Middle last year from HAAS. We are much happier here at Olsen. The teachers and the staff have been very supportive and caring. My child has gone from very unhappy and unproductive at HAAS to making honor roll and being happy at Olsen. I am glad I can stay in touch with the teachers and access her work online. This school has many incentives. There is a virtual learning class that empowers the kids into running a virtual company. I am very impressed with the electives. There are also classes that certifies the kids in Microsoft office. I am happy with the school security and anti-bullying. I recommend Olsen Middle School.

This school has undergone changes that are very detrimental to the students. It operates more like a boot camp than a middle school. Children have absolutely NO socialization opportunities on a daily basis and are forced to remain with the same students for all classes and lunch. If child falls in lower levels of FCAT testing, they have extra classes each day and operate on a totally different schedule than the rest of the school. They have no electives, no breaks during the day, they are forced to study every minute of the day, not even being allowed time outside to stretch or relax. Good teachers at this school are far and few between.
