School Reviews
2   5/9/2017
There are only a few students that go to Paint Rock ISD that live in Paint Rock. Most of them are bused in from surrounding areas. The school does not charge those kids for busing, rather they raise the taxes on the community (mostly from the Lake Ivie communities to pay for that busing. 1. A community that has very few local students does not need an independent school district. Kids are being bused from San Angelo, a lot of kids, at taxpayer expense. 2. It makes more sense to bus those few students from Paint Rock to San Angelo. The Paint Rock ISD needs to be dissolved.
