What school district is Ripon Elementary School part of?
We are all proud parents of our kiddos. And let's be honest a school can only succeed with our involvement. No matter how big or small and no school is perfect. But what I have found is Ripon Elementary has been a great experience for my kid. Has there been some teasing from other students? YES, but that is more of let's educate kids that words matter. Do some aides lack some professionalism during the school day. YES, again that's more of a let's education that individual. Not every teacher is a good fit. Not every activity is a good fit. But with every concern I have had in our 4 years at Ripon Elementary, I have been able to find a solution. And for that, I am glad that we are at Ripon Elementary. Teachers are human and they have just as much pressure outside the classroom as anyone else. But if we can all work together to educate our kiddos and change what needs to be changed together, then we are strong in the end.

My daughter enrolled at Ripon Elementary with a close to a 3.0 GPA or above. She played soccer at Parkview and Softball through the city. I transferred her from Parkview Elementary to Ripon Elementary due to severe injuries and aggressive students. She suffered from chronic symptoms due to two concussions at Parkview. After attending Ripon Elementary her grades dropped to all Fs. I found many of Ripon Elementary's policies to be outdated, counter productive, and a little early 1900s. Some of these policies have been updated since then. Assigned seating in the cafeteria was one example. I found that staff seemed gossipy about students. It seemed that favoritism was common and retaliation from my complaints was endless throughout the year. I spent a year trying to protect my daughter from staff at this school. She couldn't attend dances, and she couldn't attend her eighth grade graduation. Endless accusations and what seemed to be witch hunts become the norm for us. In my experience I caught a teacher in two lies in writing. My daughter left this school severely traumatized, an F student and with a triggered rare illness Von Willbrand disorder. She will have to take medication for the rest of her life. I transferred her out of this district. Her GPA now ranges between 3.6 and 3.8. She is still recovering from her nightmare at this school. Since then a few staff have been replaced.
