An EXCELLENT school for students of high ability and notable talent. The school is a gifted and talented magnet schol and selectively draws its students from several mid-MI counties and is worth the commute. Consistently among the top 10 public schools in MI. My kids both graduated from SASA and found immediate success in college and the workplace. THEY attribute their success to this school.

I have attended Sasa since the 6th grade, although I can say the education is excellent, there are many other things that lack disappointedly. For instance, the school lunch, the unsanitary bathrooms, excessive and unnecessary homework, and many other things students can go on and on about. There is also a couple of bad teachers who don't really teach their subjects well enough for the students to be able to understand the material. They also do personal buisness in the classrooms in front of students such as texting or taking personal calls-yet yelling at the students for the same actions. Some also do a lot of favortism towards a few students. I have experience first-hand, a teacher telling one of her student, She'll pass him with an A anyways, after he claimed he was going to failed the test due to not studying. Our athletic programs is not at it best level, and needs a lot of improvements, as well. Although there are a lot of positive and negative aspects about Sasa, I can say I love the diversity- and the education, at foremost, is the best thing about SASA, and the most important.

Programs are excellent. Staff is highly caring and committed to quality education. Athletics are expanding with addition of a new gym in 2010. Parent involvement is superior. Arts are encouraged for all students as electives or Career Pathway Concentrations.
