Highly recommend this school if you are dedicated towards your school work. I was well prepared for college and I am now in a Masters Program. There are many opportunities available to you just have to take advantage of them. I loved that their was diversity in our school no matter where people are originally from; it showed you what reality is, no diversity is unrealistic. The fact that our school was diverse lead me to also get a Spanish degree and a certificate as a medical interpreter which makes you more marketable and have an amazing skill to speak more than one language. I am happy I did not go to the other schools in the area because I have had great experiences at Shikellamy.

This is an excellent high school with highly qualified teachers. The school has an outstanding theater department and forensics program. The student body is becoming more diverse which is a negative. These students coming from metropolitan areas have no interest in education and lower the school's test scores. I would not have attended any other school.
