School Reviews
2   6/9/2015
Horrible school. This review is lengthy but I hope all parents will take time to review it. We have tried to work with the staff however all efforts were ignored or refused. Teachers are exceptionally rude. Front office staff is a joke. Once while picking up our student the secretary was painting her nails. One teacher is allowing students to buy grades by bringing in school supplies. When we voiced concern over this practice the local school board allows and endorsed it. She assigned a play for a science class with 2 days notice to provide a required costume in order for students to get full points. She assigned a project to create a website with student's photos without parent permission. Websites if not properly done can expose students to extreme danger on the web. Another teacher had to be threatened with sexual harassment charges to get him to stop using the term "BABY" to the students. The school also failed to complete required literacy testing for our students IEP and special education program and set appropriate goals. She was called out on dress code in front of other classmates. She was wearing shorts longer than her fingertips and the front office staff insisted she prove it. The handicap front door was non-functioning for over three months. The door didn't even have a motor on it. District stated it would be fixed April 24, 2015. It took an additional three weeks to get it fixed. The parent pick up area is a safety hazard. Parents are allowed to load in "no student loading" areas. The crossing guard allows parents to load students in the middle of traffic lanes. The school staff are public servants paid for by our tax dollars and should have to be accountable for our children's education and safety! We need to stand up and let them know that issues like this are not ok. This school year has been so bad we have removed her from this school and registered her at another school.
