School Reviews
5   4/10/2012
My student has not attended school there yet, we have only registered. I began looking into aftercare programs for my student and was shocked that the program recommended is Bear Care. I took a tour of Bear Care and was horrified. It is one room, one bathroom for 16+ students. If there is more then 16 students present the overflow goes into a converted trailer that is parked on the property. I began looking into private schools just to avoid this tragedy. *** I did find an aftercare program that has recently opened (and is not mentioned on the SCPS web site), Little Stars on Loop Rd. They just opened and everything is new and clean. The teachers seem good, they have an open door policy and were very friendly. The bus will take the students to Little Stars for aftercare (or before care as well). They also have a summer program with field trips and activities. I wish someone from SCPS would have mentioned this to me in the begining. ugh....
