I strongly disagree with the above. I have had two students go through Terra. My children have been there since the beginning. Terra has strengthened their chances for success at college, given them opportunities they would not have had otherwise. I cannot believe all the things Terra has been able to offer my two students over the years they have been there. I know for a fact that there is a reading program. Whether those teachers were adhering to, it is another story. It's also obvious that Terra has been trying very hard over the last four years to get good teachers in its classrooms. You can see by their test scores that those decisions have been the right ones. We celebrate Terra and thank them for being here for our students. Great School!!!

The hope that was Terra Academy has dimmed. The first two years, Terra Academy was a wonderful, collaborative environment, exceptionally pro-active. Teachers were well-supported by both admin and parents. We were committed to building something new, something needed and essential in our community. Terra's approach to education is flawed only by the lack of effective, responsive, and supportive administration. As the State noose has tightened because of low test scores, admin continues to ignore countless requests and pleadings from teachers for a reading program. A proper language program was only provided for K-3 the beginning of the 2018-19 school year, with significant improvements in language tests (which weren't recognized by admin). Admin remains unresponsive to teachers'' requests for quality, vetted programs that provide the sure foundation for any strong curriculum. The teachers are passionate about doing what's best for students. Unfortunately, with the current administration, mediocre academic results and low to moderate growth is the best parents can expect. Such a shame.
