The school is rigorous and the subjects are in depth. Ex: The first year French would be equivalent to two years of French in most public and private high schools nationwide. In the early 80''s my daughter took basic courses from the UofNHS, including first year French, and enrolled in our local HS in Minnesota when she was 11, and was placed in French 4. She enrolled in the University of Minnesota at age 13 because there were no additional classes for her in the high school. She graduated UofM at age 17 with a 3.9 average. Her experience at the UofNHS not only taught her academic skills for college, but taught her the essential life skills necessary for success not only in college but also in life: assuming responsibility for one's successes and failures, organization, planning, and goal-setting. These are the skills essential for unqualified success in life, regardless of one's chosen path.
