There is nothing good about this school. The programs and classes are trash. The teachers are dedicated to their jobs, but only one or two can actually teach efficiently. The students are even worse. One time, we had six fights in one day. There is at least one fight every month, if not a week. The sports programs are okay, and the musical theater class is pretty good. The students are just horrible.

The quality of the education is very poor compared to other schools in the same district. My daughter attended this school for 7th grade and was harrassed the entire year. We worked with the administration the entire year and stood firm that our daughter was not going to be driven out. Needless to say we transferred her to Eisenhower Jr. High where she flourished and we found the environment 100% better and the administration was awesome. My step daughter now attends Valley Jr. High much to our chagrin and she is going through hell there. This school needs a major overhaul of the staff. They do not care about the education or the environment the kids are in every day.

I do not recommend this school to anyone! They are severely understaffed and those that work in the counselor's department and the front office have consistently proven incompetent in their jobs. There is almost no communication between parents and teachers. Teachers have almost no involvement and absolutely no interest in improving children's minds. They get by with minimal input to parents about how their children are doing and put in minimal work time to get a paycheck. I have seen dozens of children leaving the grounds and skipping without any adult supervision given outside of classrooms. I am leaving this school district as soon as possible. I don't know how Valley Junior High can call themselves a place of education.
