School Reviews

I have had three children go through the WM school system and the education they have received has been wonderful. Two of my three kids were AP/ Honors, and one of my children was in College Prep. The teachers overall were great. Sure you can have a dud here and there but that does not mark an entire school district. No matter where your child goes, being an active parent is key. One of my children had ADHD and another had ADHD and is on the spectrum. The more you communicate with the counselors and empower your children to advocate for themselves is important. The teachers all complied with the 504 plans and two of my children who are now in college are in top-notch schools. I highly recommend the school district. My children have been active in hockey, tennis, baseball, wrestling, golf, and in theatre and band.

My son has always been in west Milford school system. He is currently in the 11th grade. He loves it. He is active in marching band. Never had an issue except here and there kid stuff. The staff never gave a problem, always listened and helped. High school is what you make it.

There are some great teachers here but, I would not recommend this school as it does not treat students or parents with any respect. The quality of the actual education COULD be there but it is lost amidst the chronic chaos and negativity that reigns here. The students are expected to be fully accountable for their conduct while the staff is not. It is a poorly run school with an apathetic staff and it is the kids who suffer the most. This district has a revolving door of Principals and Superintendents over several years which is never a good sign.
