What school district is Pittston Area Sr. High School part of?
Pittston Area has been a wonderful high school for my children (one graduate is a junior in college and one is a senior at this high school). I believe the academics are solid, and if you support and encourage your child, he or she could receive a great education here. The athletic programs are also good, and my kids were both athletes, one of whom actually went on to get a Division I scholarship for college. The facilities are good - all the schools are either new or updated. The amount of parent involvement is really phenomenal in this district. There are the occasional troublemaking students and an occasional iffy teacher or two, but for the main part, this is a very good school district and I would not hesitate to recommend it.
