School Reviews麻豆果冻传媒>2 7/21/2021RA is amazing, from the school mission to the staff, everyone is helping to create well-rounded, open-minded, college and career-prepared young adults. The smaller student-to-teacher ratio helps create a learning environment where each student can be successful.2 3/28/2011I would never reccomend anyone to ever send their kids to this school. I don't even know where to start.
First, the enviornment is not good. The walls are gray and the lockers are tiny, as are the unopenable windows, it all just has a a warehouse feel to it, not a place that would get you excited to go to school.
Also, the students are terrible to eachother and I know you can get that anywhere, but this is a tiny school and rumors spread fast. After going there for 10 years you tend to notice that kids that come here who are really nice become nasty in a small amount of time. The teachers there don't understand that they are getting paid to teach not sit there and let the class socialize. A lot of them pick favorites and that reflects on how they grade papers, students who are teacher's favorites always seem to be let off easy. The adminastration picks favorites as well and students who aren't always get the blame.
Academics there are a lie, students fall behind quickly and the school has very limited options to help them catch up. Music and arts are a joke to most of the students, possibly because they are forced upon kids who aren't allowed to change their class to something they actually want to do. Sports are terrible our teams plays unfairly(eg biting their opponents in the ankles and blowing out their knees) and most kids are never able to stay on the team because they have horrible grades. It is very very rare to see this school bring back a trophy. Facilities are also limited theirs a cafeteria, but it has microwave food and you can only get food there during luch period, there's also a really nice workout room, but it's very small and you can only use it if you have that class. Parent involvement is lacking because most parents do not want to drive all the way out to RA for their kids.
Overall, the school is a ridiculous joke, their really is nothing positive that comes to mind about the school.2 5/3/2010My son was attending this school and they were not giving him his medicine as per doctors orders. Also I found a few things that he needs to have vision therapy, occupational therapy and being evaluated for physical therapy. I have volunteered quite often and the children are totally out of control.5 1/11/2010Renaissance is an amazing school. The dedication and passion of all the teachers and staff shows as soon as you walk into the school. I have watched my children grow into articulate, well intentioned young men with the support of their teachers. My sons are both 'techies' but have been encouraged to explore their artistic sides - improv, drama and photography as well.Review Renaissance Academy Charter School.
