What school district is Simley Senior High School part of?
I went to the alternative learning center (ALC) at Simley to make up for some credits, and it is not at ALL what it says on this website. Kids chewed tobacco the entire time and the person that was in charge up there (Tom) went on a smoke break every 15 minutes. Whenever the principal was going to come up to ALC, tom would walk to the 3 classrooms and tell each student to hide their spit bottles (for chewint tobacco). This was not a learning center, it was a place for students to meet their drug dealers. Students were allowed to leave whenever they wanted to. Usually students would leave, do drugs with their friends, and then come back and tell the supervisor (Tom and Shelly) about what they did. Shelly gave out the answers to each student that asked her to, so there was no learning in this Learning Center. do NOT send your child to this program if Tom Findlay is still in charge. My mother emailed him and asked what my grades were (Graduation was coming up, I had to make sure all of my credits were accounted for) and Tom NEVER emailed her back. She emailed Shelly and she NEVER emailed her back. So my mom went in there and Tom was SO rude to her. He told her she didn't have the right to just barge in on him and ask about my grades. They got into a screaming match for about 5 minutes. He was the rudest person to my mother that my mom went to the principal after and told him what had happened. My mother never received an apology from tom, only from the principal.
