My son is in 5th grade and we LOVE this school! We did Pre-k here and then went to what some consider the best magnet school for K. We immediately came back for 1st grade because the teachers and the principal here make sure every child has what they need to succeed!

We love University Elementary. My children started in kindergarten, and they are now in second grade. We love the diversity and that it is a We Care school. The students are not just taught academics, but they learn to be respectful and kind to others.

Little parent communication, special programs are only for select kids even if the other kids qualify. Teachers show preferential treatment, rude, disrespectful, and not fair. Class size is 27:1, and the class is a zoo. Where is the effective teaching? If you request a teacher meeting, you will be met with several teachers and other administrators that try to intimidate the concerned parent. Teachers do not work with the parents. I had to learn to trust my child and not go by what the adult says. I would not recommend.
